Grilled Pork Ribs

Pork ribs are among the most popular barbecue items to cook and the one that gives many people the most trouble. Here is a simple recipe that you can follow to make your very own homemade grilled pork ribs.



Ingredients (Serves 2 adults):

  • 2lb pork ribs
  • 3 green onions
  • 4 sliced button mushrooms
  • 1/2 thinly sliced onion
  • 1/4 cup of soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup of sugar
  • 1/4 cup of water
  • 2 tsp of sesame oil
  • 2 tsp of pepper
  • 1 tsp of sesame seeds
  • 1/2 grinded onion
  • 1-2 tsp of minced garlic
  • 1 tsp of ginger juice
  • 1 bottle of BBQ sauce


  1. If ribs are not separated, separate by cutting meat between the bones.
  2. Place the ribs into the marinade sauce.
  3. Add 1 or 2 tbs of sesame oil and some toasted sesame seeds.
  4. Mix it by hand and keep it in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
  5. After 30 minutes, you can grill the meat on charcoal bbq, broil it in oven.



This dish is usually served with a side of lettuce, spinach, or other leafy vegetable, which is used to wrap a slice of cooked meat, often times along with a dab of ssamjang, kimchi, or other side dishes, and then eaten as a whole.
